The big idea…

In 2011, FireResQ, Inc was founded on a shoe-string budget in a small upstairs office. After analyzing thousands of internet fire-related search results, we recognized a market opportunity to sell fire hose online. Our goal: eliminate painfully long lead times from manufacturers, and ship the product to the customer quickly and efficiently.

Let’s stock everything!

Why should firefighters and fire departments have to wait for necessary equipment? Simply – we say – that does not have to be the case. By stocking the majority of our products for sale, we are able to effectively ship most items within the same business day. In addition, we opened multiple fulfillment centers across the U.S., reducing transit times for all orders. Today, our websites are able to deliver 95% of our inventory in one-to-two days.

A new way to shop for fire equipment

Retiring from the fire service after twenty-years, CEO / Founder / Firefighter Barry McConaghey wanted to switch to the business side of the fire industry. He quickly realized the need for critical fire equipment for volunteer fire departments. Knowing that 65% of the United States fire departments are volunteers and operating on small budgets, he wanted to give back by offering competitive pricing on fire hose and accessories to local stations directly from retail manufacturers.

Mr. McConaghey and COO/Vice President Daniel Weber still lead the way today, and continue to put small, local departments first.
